Nicole Garrish Memorial – Pay it Forward Scholarship Recipients
The Nicole Garrish “Pay it Forward” Scholarship is offered to one graduating senior. Students applying for this scholarship are asked to write a brief paragraph about their school involvement, their community service and their favorite charity. If chosen as the winner of this scholarship award, an additional “Pay it Forward” donation will be made to their favorite charity choice in their honor or in honor of a loved one.
**Recipients of the Boca Raton scholarships will be graduates of Boca Raton High School that must attend Florida State University immediately following graduation. Candidates are chosen by administration based on the same attributes Nicole exhibited throughout her high school years**

- 2017 Boca Raton High School – Pay it Forward Recipient- Olivia Graff. Olivia has chosen Ronald McDonald House as her Pay it Forward donation. Olivia will be one of Florida State’s newest freshman this fall. We wish her all the best and may the next 4 years create the same everlasting memories that they had for Nicole!
- 2017 South Forsyth High School Recipient – Merideth Ray. Merideth is the sibling of one of our former scholarship winners, Jessica Ray! It has been an honor to have crossed paths with two these two amazing girls and their family. She, like her sister has chosen American Cancer Association for her Pay it Forward donation. This donation was made in honor of her grandmother who unfortunately has lost her battle with this horrible disease. Our deepest condolences go out for the Ray family with continued prayers in hopes to find the cure. Merideth will attend Samford University in the fall.
- 2017 South Forsyth High School Recipient – Joseph Johnson. Joey is a former football player and lacrosse player at South Forsyth High School Nicole’s rather, John, had the honors of having a personal and professional relationship with Joey as his coach. We are over the top excited for Joey on his new journey to as he begins his studies at Johns Hopkins University starting this fall!! Joey’s Pay it Forward donation will benefit a charity that Nicole holds dear to her heart – St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
- 2016 Boca Raton High School – Pay it Forward Recipient – Morgan Costopoulos. Morgan has chosen “Shoot for the Cure Tournament” for her Pay it Forward donation. The “Shoot for the Cure Tournament” is an annual event hosted by the Boca Raton High School Soccer team to honor her Soccer Coach’s mother and the Woman’s Cancer Center at Boca Raton Regional Hospital. Morgan will attend Florida State University this fall! Go Noles!
- 2016 – NMG Legacy Lacrosse Scholarship at Boca Raton High School Recipient – Nikolas McCabe. Nikolas is the first to win this newest scholarship the foundation has to offer. This scholarship is awarded to a lacrosse player/ male or female that has exceeded leadership skills on and off the field. Nikolas has proven to be an excellent choice recipient for this award. We are so honored to have such an amazing young male to be the first named recipient of this award! Nikolas will continue his lacrosse career at Rutgers University in the fall! Congratulations Nikolas!! Nikolas’ Pay it Forward donation selection will benefit “Triple Threat Breast Cancer Foundation“ in honor of his grandmother.
- 2016 South Forsyth High School Recipient – Ennor Armah. Ennor has selected the American Cancer Society for his Pay it Forward donation. We wish him the best at University of Georgia in the fall!
- 2015 Boca Raton High School – Pay it Forward Recipient – Paige Sternberg. Paige’s Pay it Forward donation was presented to Boca Raton community High Schools – ESE Department. This selection supports the countless hours and commitment Paige had given to their program. Paige will attend Florida State University in the fall.
- 2015 South Forsyth High School Recipient – Tristan McIntosh. Tristan’s Tristan’s Pay it Forward was donated to the Muscular Dystrophy Association in honor of his cousin who lost her battle at a young age to this horrible disease. Our prayers continue to go out for the Ray family and hope to find the cure! Tristan will attend University of Georgia in the fall.
- 2014 South Forsyth High School Recipient – Jessica Ray. Jessica is a shining image of the legacy Nicole left behind. She is a former cheerleader and lacrosse player with a personality and smile that lights up a room. Jessica’s Pay it Forward donation was donated to the American Cancer Association in honor of her grandmother who currently is battling this horrible disease. Our prayers continue to go out for the Ray family and hope to find the cure! Jessica will attend Samford University in the fall.
- 2013 South Forsyth High School Recipient – Wes Brown. Wes’s Pay it Forward donation was donated to the American Scoliosis Foundation in honor of a fellow classmate. Wes will attend University of Georgia in the fall.
